Strain description | This gene is similar to the MAB-21 cell fate-determining gene found in C. elegans. It is required for several aspects of embryonic development including normal development of the eye, heart and body wall. Mutation details: The entire gene coding region was replaced with a neomycin resistance cassette via homologous recombination. Absence of gene expression in homozygous mutants was confirmed by whole mount in situ hybridization analysis of E10.5 homozygous mutant embryos. |
