Strain description | A chemokine, XCL1, is produced by NK cells or activated T cells and functions through a chemokine receptor, XCR1. XCR1 is expressed dominantly in a dendritic cell subset, conventional dendritic cell 1 (cDC1), which shows high ability to support cytotoxic T cell generation. In B6(Cg)-Xcl1tm1.2Ksho mice, the XCL1 gene is disrupted by the insertion of the neomycin resistance gene cassette and the mice carrying the homozygous mutant allele can be used as XCL1 KO mice. |
