Strain developmentDeveloped by Jun Hamazaki, The University of Tokyo in 2011. RENKA ES cells derived from C57BL/6N were used. Mice were further backcrossed to C57BL/6N for more than 6 generations.
Strain descriptionSem1 (SEM1, 26S proteasome complex subunit) floxed mice. A pair of loxP flanks exon 2 of the Sem1 gene. An FRT-flanked Neo gene was deleted by crossing with a Flp-mouse strain.
