BRC No.RBRC10482
TypeTargeted MutationCartagena
SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameC57BL/6-Pkm<tm3Ntan>
Former Common namePkmM2
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineRENKA [C57BL/6NCrlCrlj]
Background strain
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Nobuhiro Tanuma, Miyagi Cancer Center, in 2012. RENKA ES cells derived from C57BL/6N were used. Mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6N for 7 generations. C57BL/6N genetic background. Y-chromosome is derived from RENKA ES cells.
Strain descriptionAtg13 Knock-in mice expressing PKM2 splicing isoform of the Pkm (pyruvate kinase, muscle) gene. Homozygous mutants are grossly normal and fertile, but exhibit accelerated tumor growth at several experimental tumor models.
