SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameB6.Cg-Pkm<tm1Ntan>
Former Common namePkmM1
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineKY1.1[(C57BL/6J x 129S6/SvEvTac)F1]
Background strain
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Nobuhiro Tanuma, Miyagi Cancer Center, in 2012. KY1.1 ES cells derived from (C57BL/6J x 129S6/SvEvTac)F1 were used. Mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6N for 12 generations. C57BL/6N congenic strain. Y-chromosome is derived from C57BL/6NJcl.
Strain descriptionAtg13 Knock-in mice expressing PKM1 splicing isoform of the Pkm (pyruvate kinase, muscle) gene. Homozygous mutants are grossly normal and fertile, but exhibit accelerated tumor growth at several experimental tumor models.
