Strain developmentDeveloped by Tatsuo Fukagawa, Osaka University, and deposited by Yuichi Wakabayashi, Chiba Cancer Center, in 2018. ES cells derived from 129/Sv were used and then mice were further backcrossed to C57BL/6J for more than 20 generations. C57BL/6J congenic strain. Y choromosome is from C57BL/6J.
Strain descriptionCenpu (centromere protein U, Cenp50) floxed mice. Homozygous null mutants are embryonically lethal. A pair of loxP flanks Exon 4, 5 and 6 of the Cenpu gene.
