SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameB6.129P2-Pip5k1b<tm1Tssk>
Former Common namePip5k1b-KO
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineE14K [129P2/OlaHsd]
Background strain
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Yasunori Kanaho and Takehiko Sasaki, Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Medical Science in 2004. E14K ES cells derived from 129P2/OlaHsd was used, and then mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6J over 10 generations.
Strain descriptionPip5k1b (phosphatidylinositol-4-phosphate 5-kinase, type 1 beta) knockout mice. A neo fragment replaced Exon 3 of the Pip5k1b gene. Homozygous mutants exhibit enhanced passive cutaneous and systemic anaphylaxis.
Colony maintenance
