Strain developmentDeveloped and deposited by Kazuhiro Ikenaka, National Institute of Physiological Sciences, and Kenji Tanaka, Keio University. ES cells derived from 129S6/B6 hybrid were used. Mixed genetic background.
Strain descriptionA mutant mouse in which a construct containing a loxP site, FRT site, neo cassette, STOP, FRT site, tetracycline operator (tetO) and loxP site was inserted upstream of the translation initiation site. Homozygous mutants show vacuolation in the white matter at 12 months of age.
