SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameB6.Cg-Xcr1<tm4(cre)Ksho>
Former Common nameXCR1-cre, XCR1-cre B6
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineBruce 4 [B6.Cg-Thy1<a>]
Background strainC57BL/6JJcl
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Tsuneyasu Kaisho, Research Center for Allergy and Immunologuy, RIKEN around 2008.
Strain descriptionA chemokine receptor, XCR1, is a receptor for XCL1 and expressed dominantly in one dendritic cell subset. XCR1-cre mice were generated by knocking the gene encoding cre recombinase into the murine XCR1 gene locus. In XCR1-cre mice, cre recombinase is expressed secifically in XCR1-expressing cells.
