Species | Mus musculus |
Strain name | B6(C3)-Vsx2<tm1.1(cre/ERT2)Tfur> |
Former Common name | Chx10-IRES-CreERT2 KI |
H-2 Haplotype | |
ES Cell line | JM8A3 [C57BL/6N-A<tm1Brd>] |
Background strain | |
Appearance | |
Strain development | Developed by Takahisa Furukawa, Institute for Protein Research, Osaka University. JM8A3 (C57BL/6N) ES cell line was used. This knock-in mice were mated to mice in B6.C3H background and then mated to mice in C57BL/6J background. |
Strain description | IRES-CreERT2 knock-in mice. An IRES-CreERT2 cassette was placed just downstream of stop codon of the Vsx2 (visual system homeobox 2, Chx10) gene. A Neo gene cassette was removed by a CAG-Cre mouse line. IRES-CreERT2 can be removed by a Flp recombinase. |
Colony maintenance | Heterozygote x Wild-type [or Crossing to C57BL/6JJmsSlc] |
