Strain description | Bigenic mouse strain generated by crossing two strains, GATA-3 knockdown [Gata3<tm1.1(GFP)Mpu>] and GATA3 YAC transgene [Tg(Gata3)1Mpu]. Homozygous GATA-3 knockdown mice are neonatally lethal due to the cleft palate, but can be rescued by GATA3 YAC transgene. This Gata3 hypomorphic mutant mice rescued with the YAC transgene exhibit a glomerular mesangial cell defect. |
