Species | Mus musculus |
Strain name | B6.Cg-Slc25a24<tm1Sinos> |
Former Common name | Slc25a24-KO, Slc25a24 knockout |
H-2 Haplotype | |
ES Cell line | Bruce 4 [B6.Cg-Thy1<a>] |
Background strain | C57BL/6JJcl |
Appearance | |
Strain development | Developed by Satoshi Inoue, Saitama Medical University (2015). Bruce 4 ES cells were used. The mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6J. |
Strain description | Slc25a24 [solute carrier family 25 (mitochondrial carrier, phosphate carrier), member 24] knockout mice. Exon 2 was replaced with a SV40 polyA-Neo cassette. Slc25a24-KO mice have significantly lower body weights and white adipose tissue weights. Adipocyte differentiation is inhibited in Slc25a24-KO adipose tissues. |
