Background strainC57BL/6NCrSlc
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Fugaku Aoki, The University of Tokyo in 2016. Fertilized eggs derived from C57BL/6N were used. C57BL/6N background.
Strain descriptionChd9 (chromodomain helicase DNA binding protein 9) mutant mice generated by the Genome editing technique (CRISPR/Cas9). This mutant contains 1 bp deletion within the Chd9 open reading frame causing a frameshift. The mutant mouse is predicted to express a 356 amino acid polypeptide, in contrast to 2869 amino acid native polypeptide. Homozygous mutants are viable and fertile. 8 bp deletion mutant of Chd9 is also available in RBRC09698.
