Background strain | |
Appearance | |
Strain development | Developed by Shin-ichi Tominaga and Kenji Kuroiwa, Jichi Medical University. DNA constructs (CAG-Il1rl1) were injected to fertilized eggs derived from C3H/HeJ. Mice were backcrossed to BALB/c for 7 generations. |
Strain description | Transgenic mice expressing a secreted form of Il1rl (interleukin 1 receptor-like 1; alternative name, ST2) under the control of CAG promoter. Hundreds ng/ml of ST2 can be detected in serum of transgenic mice. Related transgenic mouse lines are available as RBRC09691 and RBRC09693. |
