Background strain
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Makoto Kinoshita, Nagoya University Graduate School of Science (2008-9). Prnp-Sirt1 and alpha A-crystallin EGFP transcription units were co-injected into the C57BL/6J mouse oocytes.
Strain descriptionPrP-Sirt1 transgenic mice having a mouse Sirt1 gene under the control of mouse prion gene promoter (MoPrP). The MoPrP-Sirt1 transcription unit was co-injected with a mouse alpha A-crystallin promoter-driven EGFP cDNA.
Colony maintenanceCarrier x Nocarrier [C57BL/6JJmsSlc]
