Strain development | Developed by Kazuhisa Sekimizu, Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2007. CIA-II (RBRC06350): Originated from Asf1b<Gt(ROSABetageo)437Muv> gene trapped mice (EMMA ID:01154). Backcrossed to C57BL/6. CIA-I (RBRC06351 and RBRC06352): Generated by using Asf1a<Gt(S7-4B1)Sor> gene trapped ES cells (MMRRC #13934-USD/S7-4B1). The mutant mice were backcrossed to ICR and C57BL/6 mice, respectively. |
Strain description | CIA-II(Asf1b) gene trapped mice (B6 background)(RBRC06350), CIA-I (Asf1a) gene trapped mice (ICR mixed background: RBRC06351 and B6 background: RBRC06352). Homozygous and heterozygous mutant mice for CIA-II gene show no obvious abnormality. Homozygous mutant mice for CIA-I of ICR mixed and C57BL/6 background were perinatal and embryonic (around E12.5) lethal, respectively. |
Colony maintenance | Heterozygote x Wild-type [or Crossing to Jcl:ICR] |
