Strain developmentDeveloped by Tetsuya Nakamura and Hiroshi Hamada, Graduate School of Frontier Biosciences, Osaka University in 2008. The transgene was injected into the pronuclei of B6C3F1 fertilized eggs. C57BL/6 and C3H mixed background.
Strain descriptionBAC Cerl2-sGFP transgenic mice. The mice were generated by using a BAC clone containing the mouse Cerl2 gene, PR23-421H21. The sGFP (a 300-bp sequence coding for a portion of EGFP) gene was inserted into the exon 2 of in the Cerl2 BAC clone.
