Strain developmentDeveloped by Naohiro Hashimoto, National Center for Geriatrics and Gerontology in 2004. The mutant mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6.
Strain descriptionPax7-GFP BAC transgenic mice. The GFP cDNA was inserted into the exon 1 of Pax7 BAC gene. Expresion of the transgene mostly matches that of the endogenous Pax7 in the nervous system, but, limited to part of anti-Pax7 positive cells in the muscle satellite cells.
