Strain developmentDeveloped by Ryoichiro Kageyama, Institute for Virus Research, Kyoto University in 2000. TT2 ES cells were used. The mutant mice were crossed to C57BL/6 for 6 times.
Strain descriptionHes3 gene knockout mice. The whole coding region of Hes3 was replaced with a lacZ-neo cassette. Homozygous mutant mice are fertile with no obvious defects.
