ES Cell line | D3 [129S2/SvPas] |
Background strain | |
Appearance | |
Strain development | Developed by Tetsuji Moriyama and Yoshihiro Yoneda, Graduate School of Frontier Biosciences, Osaka University in 2006. A neo cassette was removed by crossing with CAG-FLP mice (B6 background), and then exons 2 and 3 were removed by crossing with CAG-Cre mice (B6 background). The mutant mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6 over 10 times. |
Strain description | Kpna1 (IPOA5, Impoirtin alpha 5) gene floxed mice. Exons 2 and 3 were flanked by loxP sites. |
Colony maintenance | Heterozygote x Wild-type [C57BL/6JJcl] |
References | Targeted disruption of one of the importin alpha family members leads to female functional incompetence in delivery. Moriyama T, Nagai M, Oka M, Ikawa M, Okabe M, Yoneda Y FEBS J., 278, 1561-1572 (2011). 21371262 |
