TypeTargeted MutationCartagena
SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameB6.Cg-Map3k5<tm1Hijo> Map3k6<tm1Hijo>
Former Common nameASK1/2-DKO
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell line
Background strainC57BL/6JJcl
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Hidenori Ichijo, Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, The University of Tokyo. The double mutant mice were generated by crossing with Map3k5 KO mice and Map3k6 KO mice. C57BL/6J background.
Strain descriptionMap3k5 (ASK1) and Map3k6 (ASK2) genes double knockout mice. The coding region of Exon 1 of Map3k5 gene was replaced with a GFP/PGK-neo cassette (GFP expression was not observed). The exons 1 to 5 of Map3k6 were replaced with a NLS-lacZ cassette and a pgk-neo cassette. Double homozygous mutant mice are viable and fertile.
Colony maintenanceMap3k5: Homozygote x Homozygote; Map3k6: Homozygote x Homozygote [or Crossing to C57BL/6JJcl]
