BRC No.RBRC05911
TypeTargeted MutationCartagena
SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameB6.129S6-Cd109<tm1Mat>
Former Common nameCD109-KO
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineCSL3[129S6/SvEvTac]
Background strain
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Shinji Mii and Masahide Takahashi, Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine in 2008. CSL3 ES cells derived from 129S6 were used. The mutant mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6J over 10 times.
Strain descriptionCD109 gene knockout mice. Part of exon 1 and all of exon 2 of the Cd109 gene were replaced with lacZ and PGK-neo cassettes. Homozygous mutant mice show abnormal hair growth, epidermal hyperplasia and thickening, sebaceous gland hyperplasia at P7.
Colony maintenanceHeterozygote x Wild-type [C57BL/6JJmsSlc]
