Strain development | Developed by Toru Nakano, Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka University. The mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6N over 8 times by Shigeo Koyasu, School of Medicine, Keio University. |
Strain description | AKT-Mer transgenic mice. These transgenic mice express a fusion protein composed of a myristoylated constitutively active form of human Akt and the ligand-binding domain of a mutant estrogen receptor under the control of the CAG promoter. The Akt-Mer was also fused to IRES-EGFP, can be monitored Akt-Mer expression by GFP fluorescence. |
Colony maintenance | Carrier x Noncarrier [C57BL/6NCrSlc] |
