Strain developmentDeveloped by Naoko Nakano, Institute of Genetics and Molecular and Cellular Biology in 1996. Transgene was injected into the pronuclei of (C57BL/6 x SJL) F2 fertilized eggs. The mice were backcrossed to B10.BR over 10 times.
Strain descriptionIi-102E transgenic mice expressing a fusion protein of Cd74 (MHC II invariant chain) and moth cytochrome c (MCC) 88-103 peptides sequence containing a single amino acid substitution at position 102 (threonine to glutamine).
