ES Cell line | R1 [(129X1/SvJ x 129S1/Sv)F1-Kitl<+>] |
Background strain | |
Appearance | |
Strain development | Developed by Haruhiko Koseki, RIKEN Center for Allergy and Immunology. R1 ES cells derived from (129X1/SvJ x 129S1/Sv)F1-Kitl<+> were used for the generation of knockout mice. The mutant mice were crossed to C57BL/6J. |
Strain description | Nov (CCN3) gene knockout mice. Exons 1, 2 and 3 of Nov gene were replaced with a neomycin selection cassette. Homozygous mutant mice show no obvious abnormality. Homozygous mutant mice exhibit enhanced neointimal hyperplasia in vascular smooth muscles induced by endothelial injury. |
Colony maintenance | Homozygote x Homozygote [or Crossing to C57BL/6JJcl] |
