Strain developmentDeveloped by Kenji Tanaka and Akihiro Yamanaka, National Institute for Physiological Sciences. The transgene was injected into the pronuclei of C57BL/6J fertilized eggs. FRT-flanked neo selection cassette was removed by crossing with ROSA-Flpe mice. C57BL/6 and 129 mixed background.
Strain descriptiontetO-ChR2 (C128S) BAC transgenic mice. Linearized modified BAC DNA containing the Actb gene followed by a tet0-ChR2 cassette was injected into C57BL/6 fertilized eggs.
