| Background strain | |
| Appearance | |
| Strain development | Developed by Takahisa Furukawa, Osaka Bioscience Institute in 2007. The transgene was injected into the B6C3F1 fertilized eggs. The transgenic mice were backcrossed to 126S6 mice over 8 generations. |
| Strain description | This transgenic mouse expresses Cre recombinase gene under the control of the 12-kb mouse Dkk3 promoter. Cre activity is detectable from embryonic day 10.5 (E10.5) and generally restricted to the retina during embryogenesis. |
| Colony maintenance | Carrier x Noncarrier [or Crossing to 129S6/SvEvTac] |
