SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameC.129P2(B6)-Traf6<tm1Jino>
Former Common nameBALB-Traf6 KO
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineE14.1 [129P2/OlaHsd]
Background strain
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Jun-ichiro Inoue, Institute of Medical Science, University of Tokyo in 1999. BALB/c background.
Strain descriptionTraf6 knockout mice. A 2.5 kb genomic fragment was replaced with a neomycin selection cassette. Homozygous mutant mice exhibit severe osteopetrosis and abnormal immune cell development and function, and die within around 2 weeks after birth. Homozygous mice represented only 12% of offspring. C57BL/6 background (RBRC04950), BALB/c background (RBRC05386).
Colony maintenanceHeterozygote x Wild-type [BALB/cAJcl]
