Strain developmentDeveloped by Hiroaki Honda, Research Institute for Radiation Biology and Medicine, Hiroshima University in 2008. A loxP was inserted upstream of exon 5 and an FRT flanked neo cassette with a 3’ loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 5. Neo cassette was removed by crossing with FLPe mice (C57BL/6-Tg (CAG-FLPe) 36Ito). The mice were backcrossed with C57BL/6N for at least 6 times.
Strain descriptionCiz1 gene floxed mice. Exon 5 of Ciz1 gene is flanked by loxP sites. Conditonal Ciz1 deficient mice can be generated by crossing with tissue-specific Cre mice.
