Strain development | Developed by Itaru Imayoshi and Ryoichirou Kageyama, Institute for Virus Research, Kyoto University in 2010. loxP-Stop-loxP cassette was removed by crossing with TNAP-Cre mice (C57BL/6). |
Strain description | ChR2(C128A)-mCherry is expressed after FLP-recombination. The transgene construct is knocked into Rosa26-locus. To achieve high-level transgene expression, ChR2(C128A)-mCherry is expressed under CAG promoter and WPRE sequence is inserted into 3’UTR region. |
