Strain descriptionDec1 (Bhlhe40) knockout mice. The promoter and coding region including the ATG in exon 1 was replaced with a neomycin resistance gene. Homozygous mutant mice exhibit a decrease in T cell number in aged mice and a development of lymphoproliferative autoimmune disease.
