Strain description | Optogenetic transgenic mice. A transgenic construct containing ChR2 (channelrhodopsin-2)-mCherry fusion cDNA under the control of the rat thymus cell antigen, theta promoter was microinjected into B6C3F1 fertilized eggs. Expression of ChR2/mCherry has not been examined yet. Users are encouraged to test the expression pattern and feed back the data for the research community. |
Colony maintenance | Carrier x Noncarrier [C57BL/6NJcl]. Hemizygous Tg mice are viable and fertile (viability and fertility of homozygotes are unknown). |
