BRC No.RBRC02323
TypeTargeted MutationCartagena
SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameB6JNrs.129S6-Atm<tm1Awb>/NrsFnt
Former Common nameB6-Atm knock-out mice
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineTC1 [129S6/SvEvTac]
Background strainC57BL/6JNrs
Appearanceblack [a/a B/B C/C]
Strain developmentThe targeted alle was developed by Dr. A. Wynshow-Boris, NHI. The mutant mice were introduced into NRS in 1997, and then generated the Atm KO mice of C57BL/6 background by backcrossing to C57BL/6JNrs for 16 times.
Strain descriptionAtm, ataxia telangiectasia mutated homolog (human) gene knockout mice. Homozygous mutant mice disrupted Atm gene exhibit growth retardatuin, neurologic dysfunction, infertility, defects in T lymphocyte maturation.
Colony maintenanceSibling Mating (Heterozygote x Wild-type)
