Strain development | Developed by Drs. Junji Takeda and Kyoji Horie at Osaka University in 2004. |
Strain description | C3H/HeN-Tg(IAP-Q14GFP)1Khor. These transgenic mice express GFP in response to intracisternal A particle (IAP) elements that are long terminal repeat (LTR)-type mouse retrotransposons consisting of full-length and internally deleted types. This strain is useful for a reporter for retrotansposition. |
Colony maintenance | Backcross to C3H/HeNCrlCrlj |
