Strain development | Developed by Drs. Chika Segusa and Mitsunori Fukuda at RIKEN BSI. A neomysin resistance cassette were inserted into the exon 1 of the Slp1 gene. The mutant mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6J. |
Strain description | B6;129P2-Sytl1<tm1Mitf>. Slp (Synaptoagmin-like protein) is a Rab family of low-molecular-G protein, and known as a molecule implicated in the Rab27-dependent membrane transport. Homozygous mutant mice shows an increased number of zymogen granules in the pancreatic acinar cells. |
