Strain developmentDeveloped by Dr. Victor L J Tybulewicz at National Institute for Medical Research in 1999. A neo was transfered into D2 ES cells to reolace the exon 12 of the Ptprc gene. BALB/c background.
Strain descriptionCD45 is a transmembrane tyrosine phosphatase implicated in the control of T cell receptor signaling. CD45 homozygous mutant mice in the BALB/c background were gorssly normal and fertile.
