Strain description | PI3K, phosphoinositide-3-kinase gene is a lipid kinases that catalyze the addition of a phosphate molecule specifically to the 3-position of the inositol ring of phosphoinositides. This strain is useful for elucidating of the rule of PI3K in various phases of immune responses. Homozygous mutant females were sterile. |
Colony maintenance | Since most of homozygous females are sterile, we maintain the colony by mating heterozygous females with homozygous males. |
