BRC No.RBRC01358
SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameC57BL/6-Tg(grm2-IL2RA)2Kyo
Former Common nameMG-I2
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell line
Background strainC57BL/6JJcl
Appearanceblack [a/a B/B C/C]
Strain developmentDeveloped by Drs. Dai Watanabe and Shigetada Nakanishi, Kyoto University Faculty of Medicine in 1998.
Strain descriptionThis transgenic mouse strain expresses the human IL2RA gene under the control of mouse GluR promoter. The IL2RA mRNA was highly expressed in Golgi cells of the cerebellum, granule cells of the main and accessory olfactory bulbs, the pontine nuclei, and neuronal cells of the cerebellum cortex. Homozygous and hemizygous mutant mice are viable and fertile.
Colony maintenanceHomozygous and hemizygous mutant mice are viable and fertile.
