SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameB6.Cg-Tg(Ovgp1-TAg)1Imiy
Former Common nameB6.Cg-Tg(Ovgp1-TAg)1Imiy; mogP-Taq Transgenic mouse; Mouse Transgenic for Murine Oviduct-Specific Glycoprotein Promoter-Driven Simian Virus 40 Large T-Antigen (mogp-Taq Transgenic Mouse)
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell line
Background strainC57BL/6
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Ichiro Miyoshi and Noriyuki Kasai, Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine in 2001. The transgene was injected into the pronuclei of B6D2F2 fertilized eggs. The mutant mice were crossed to C57BL/6.
Strain descriptionmogp-Tag transgenic mice, expressing a simian virus 40 large T antigen (Tag) under the control of murine oviduct specific glycoprotein promoter (a 2.2-kb segment of the 5’-flanking sequence). Tg females develop severe uterine tumors by 6 weeks of age. Average life span of Tg males is around 6 months.
Colony maintenanceCarrier (male) x Noncarrier (female) [C57BL/6JJcl]
