BRC No.RBRC00986
SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameB6C3F1-Tg(CAG-EGFP)CX-FM50Osb
Former Common nameB6C3F1B6C3F1 TgN(act-EGFP)OsbCX-FM050
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell line
Background strain
Appearanceblack [a/a B/B C/C]
Strain developmentDeveloped by Dr. Masaru Okabe at Osaka University in 1997. The CAG-GFP plasmids were injected into the pronuclei of B6C3F2 fertilized eggs.
Strain descriptionBoth homozygous and hemizygous transgenic mice express GFP in all over the body. The transgene is located in X chromosome. This strain is useful for detection of cell fate in transplantation and developmental studies.
Colony maintenanceSibling Mating (Homozygote x Hemizygote)
