Strain developmentDeveloped by Dr. Masaru Okabe at Osaka University in 1997. The CAG-GFP plasmids were injected into the pronuclei of B6C3F2 fertilized eggs.
Strain descriptionBoth homozygous and hemizygous transgenic mice express GFP in all over the body. The transgene is located in X chromosome. This strain is useful for detection of cell fate in transplantation and developmental studies.
